This Helix Aspersa also tends to shut down at cold temperatures too… especially when temperatures falls below 6 degrees Celsius.

At “0” degrees Celsius the helix Aspersa snail will cease to function altogether and die.
How To Control Temperature On Your Snail Farm

What type and size of the gas heater to get installed will really depend to a large extent on the size of your snail pen.

Intensive snail farming requires the application of artificial light to prompt the snails into their natural reproductive cycle.
You can control the amount of light your snail has by controlling lighting within the reproductive environment such as within the snail pen.
You can choose to do this by natural or artificial means.
A proven system is one that uses watertight fluorescent tubes that have a capacity to deliver a 40 watt power output and spaced at distances that will obtain a homogenous diffusion of light within the reproductive environment.
To control the amount of light required, you can use a simple timing device that can be set for the desired time lengths.
